Dataloop Africa Limited is a firm of environmental and resource management experts registered and incorporated in Kenya to carry out consultancy work on environmental engineering, environmental planning, management and development issues. We are registered by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) as lead experts and is legally allowed to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and audit (EA) studies. The firm has strong links with academic community in public universities, research institutions and has close working relationship with professionals of diverse backgrounds among them architects, engineers, surveyors and sociologists. The mandate of Dataloop Africa Limited is focused on managing the environment in a holistic and sustainable way through the involvement of all the relevant stakeholders as the situation may demand as well as informing the public on issues that affect their well- being.

Mission and Vision

The long-term goal of the organization is to facilitate and ensure that the environmental situation in Kenya is managed within the framework of Sustainable Development. The mission of the firm is to help individuals both within and outside Kenya achieve environmentally sustainable development through partnering with like-minded individuals, organizations and institutions to undertake various projects and programmes meant to enhance environmental sustainability.

The vision of the firm lies in building and strengthening of expertise of individuals and institutions within Africa at local, national and sub-regional levels in order to fulfill its mission.

Objectives

As environmental and resource management experts, some objectives for which the firm is established include the following.

  • To enhance the grass root community’s capacity to respond to the emerging environmental problems and inculcate into them positive attitudes towards their surrounding and in the process assist them in improving their living standards.
  • To manage the environment through the use of modern environmental management tools and consultancy services.
  • To organize or participate in seminars and workshops intended to educate the public, impart knowledge or develop skills for the achievement mainly of environmental conservation and sustainable development.
  • To operate mainly as a research-based firm with a firm base in areas where environmental and social development issues are relevant.
  • To engage in research into all problems relating to development investment, environment, agriculture, economics, resource monitoring, farming; prepare and distribute information relating to any business, industry or development and promote or propose such methods, procedures or measures as may be considered desirable or beneficial for all or any of the firm’s objectives.
  • To join with any person, firm or company, bodies, organizations and societies in doing any of the things aforesaid and to work, manage and control the same or join with others in so doing.
